A Foundation for our Future:

Building a Palestinian Landmark in Washington DC

Right of Return Key (Early 20th Century). Maker Once Known. Museum of the Palestinian People. 2021.047

The 8th Annual MPP Gala - Thursday, November 13, 2025

This year’s gala marks a powerful milestone, seven years of growth as a permanent Palestinian landmark in the heart of our nation’s capital. Together, we’ve resisted erasure by preserving and sharing the arts, cultural heritage, and history of the Palestinian people.

Now, we invite you to help us lay down our roots. This is our home. Partner with us to build its foundation for the future.

Each year, our community comes together to celebrate the richness of Palestinian identity through music, food, stories, and art. This year, we gather with a renewed sense of urgency and purpose. As heartbreaking events continue to unfold in Palestine—and as Palestinian narratives face silencing and distortion in mainstream media—our voices, spaces, and presence matter more than ever.

Join us for a night of solidarity, storytelling, a special video appearance by US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, and hope as we raise funds to secure and expand the Museum of the Palestinian People, ensuring it remains a lasting home for generations to come.

Silent Auction

Our annual silent auction returns this year and will run through to November 13th. You can bid from anywhere in the world, no ticket required. Click on the button below to browse our collection.

Hani Almadhoun

Founder of Gaza Soup Kitchen

Hani Almadhoun's work is driven by a profound personal connection to his community. As the Senior Director of Philanthropy at UNRWA USA, he channels his expertise to support life-saving humanitarian work for Palestine refugees. His advocacy has become a personal fight, highlighted by his tireless efforts to engage with top government officials in Washington, D.C., to secure aid and ensure the safety of his family in Gaza. Hani has brought international attention to the urgent needs of Palestinians through powerful op-eds and numerous media appearances. In a poignant act of direct action, Hani co-founded the Gaza Soup Kitchen with his late brother, Chef Mahmoud. This initiative provided meals to thousands, becoming a critical lifeline for families facing starvation. Tragically, Mahmoud was killed while delivering aid. Hani continues his brother's work, honoring his legacy and his promise that "we will continue."
