Film Screening: All That’s Left of You

The Museum of the Palestinian People, in partnership with Watermelon Pictures, is proud to host a special opening weekend screening of All That’s Left of You in Washington, DC on January 16 at 6:30 PM at Middle East Books & More. Supporting Palestinian cinema in theaters is one of the most powerful ways to uplift Palestinian artists and ensure these stories continue to be seen and celebrated.All That’s Left of You offers an intimate portrait of a Palestinian family spanning three generations. Set between the beginnings of the Nakba and the Occupied West Bank of the 1980s, the film follows a Palestinian teenager whose involvement in a protest alters his family’s fate, as his mother reflects on the memories that led them there. Directed by and starring Cherien Dabis, the film explores love, memory, and survival amid 75 years of political upheaval.Widely acclaimed on the international festival circuit, All That’s Left of You is Jordan’s entry for the 98th Academy Awards® and has been officially shortlisted for an Oscar®.
